How do I get started?

If you are new to rowing then our trained coaches run "learn to row" courses throughout the year.  These provide you with 12 hours of coaching over 8 sessions with the aim of getting you competent to train in a single scull.  Once competent you will then be able to join the club and participate fully in the clubs training programme.  If you would like to join one of these courses email cardiffrowing@hotmail.co.uk.

Alternatively, the Cardiff Water Activity Centre at Channel View Leisure Centre runs the "Blades" course which has a similar programme to the CCRC "learn to row" course.  Contact the Centre on 02920 353912.

Progressing your rowing/sculling

Competent rowers and scullers can join at any time and have access to the club equipment and facilities. The club runs a training programme that provides all rowers with the core elements to progress their fitness and skills and for each member a training plan will be drawn up with our coaching members.
