Cardiff Small Boats Head Results
Final results are now available for the Cardiff Small Boats Head. Thanks you to all clubs that entered and we hope you enjoyed a great days racing. Sorry the results took so long to come out but we have implemented a new, more robust system which makes checking any errors easy, but does take some time to get used to. 03/09/2008 - Cardiff City Rowers Strike Gold at Home Countries Regatta
Two Cardiff City Rowers were once again in the medals whilst representing Wales at the annual Home Countries Regatta, this year held on Cardiff Bay. Dave Donaghy won gold in the Senior Men's Eights, sealing the first Welsh win in the event in forty two years. Dave also won silver in the Heavyweight Pairs event with Robin Dowell, behind Ireland. Andy Davies also won gold with Cardiff University's Laurence Birdsey in the Lightweight Pairs race, beating second placed England by two and a half lengths.
16/07/2008 - Prince of Wales Challenge Cup - Semi Finalists!
The Cardiff City and Cardiff University composite 4x- put in a fantastic performance in the Prince of Wales Challenge Cup at the 2008 Henley Royal Regatta, beating crews from Combined Services R.C. and Leander Club & Henley R.C. to reach the semi-final of the regatta. They lost in the semi final to California R.C. who went on to win the event. This picture shows CCRC rower Andy Davies at 2, and former CCRC (now Cardiff University) rowers Andy Haines at 3 and Mike Haines at Bow.

13/06/2008 - GOLD FOR CARDIFF CITY JUNIORS
Congratulations to Tom James (Llandaff Cathedral School) and Matthew Hnatiw (St Teilo's Church in Wales School) who recently won J14 2x gold in The Somerville Cup at the National Schools Regatta, and also won J14 2x gold in the Ball Cup Regatta, both held at Dorney Lake. A busy summer season and hard training schedule will hopefully continue to net them even more medals!
